COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD
The Falls has a small grove of young fruit trees planted at the top of Apple Blossom Drive. We host numerous varieties of apples and pears. These trees are about three years of age and absorb approximately 150 pounds of carbon dioxide and produce roughly 375 pounds of oxygen each year!
The Falls owns approximately 150 additional trees. The great majority of these trees are Maples, Crab Apples and Lindens. They range from 20 – 30 feet in height at the present. We invest a great deal each year caring for our resources. Each year, the carbon benefits of these tree is huge. We estimate that the trees sequester approximately 2,550 pounds of carbon each year. Over the course of the past twenty years, our Association trees have sequestered 51,000 pounds of carbon dioxide (estimates derived from statistics from onetreeplanted.org), as well as providing shade that naturally cools our homes.
The Falls is moving towards becoming a Green community as evidenced below.
